Our 2008 Summer Camp Adventures

In addition to our traditional program, Children's Corner offers special one or two-week morning and afternoon programs for children 4 - 6 years old (children must be 4 years old by December 31, 2006). Each session will include our developmentally appropriate program, including arts/crafts, indoor/outdoor play, cooking projects, science projects, gardening, nutritious snacks, lots of water play and a surprise visitor. Bring a bathing suit, as we'll be doing lots of water play.

Session 1: Jurassic Times
Imagine if you could travel back in time to when prehistoric animals roamed the earth. Come explore dinosaurs. Experience a mini archeological dig and make a volcano - just some of the fun when you sign up for Jurassic Times. Join us for two weeks of dino-fun and a special visitor with real dinosaur bones!

Session 2: Outdoor Adventure
A session of fun-filled summer camp crafts and activities including campfire songs, S'mores, nature walks, gold panning, and a special visit from Smokey the Bear.

Session 3: Tropical Rain Forests
Explore our rain forest environments, make a meal fit for a gorilla, make and paint rain forest insects and snakes and experience what it's like to play in a rain forest playground. Plus a special visit from The Lizard Lady with live lizards, snakes and tortoises!

Session 4: Down by the Hawaiian Shore
Come and spend a make-believe vacation in Hawaii. Learn the hula from a Native Hawaiian Hula Teacher, paint "tapa cloth", sample tropical fruits, and build sand castles!

Session 5: Outer Space Adventure
Buckle your seat belts and get ready to blast off into 2 fun-filled weeks of rockets, planets and stars. Try freeze-dried snacks just like the astronauts eat and see a real NASA Space Suit!

**Note: In Session 2, Children's Corner will be closed Friday, July 4^th. Session 2 fees are $270.⁰⁰ for the AM and $220.⁰⁰ for the PM Session.
