3s and Young 4s Teachers
Laura – Site Director/Lead Teacher
Laura received her associate degree in early childhood education from DeAnza College and continues to attend conferences and workshops concentrating on including children with special needs in the preschool classroom. She holds a Child Development Site Supervisor Permit from the State of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Laura joined Children’s Corner in 1982, leads our 3s and Young 4s program, and became our Site Director in 2016.
Maria – Teacher
Maria has taken her early childhood education classes at Foothill College. She currently works in our 3s and Young 4s program on Monday through Friday mornings. A native Spanish speaker, she is our Spanish teacher in the Passport to Adventure program Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons in our 4s and Young 5s program. She joined our staff in 2009 and her daughter is an alumnus of Children’s Corner.
Gabby – Assistant Teacher
Gabby holds a bachelor’s degree in english from Santa Clara University. She is taking child development classes at Foothill College. She has worked in private child care and previously worked as a substitute teacher at Children’s Corner. Gabby is now working in our 3s and Young 4s program as an Assistant Teacher.
Sarah – Assistant Teacher
Sarah received her high school education in the UK and continued Early Childhood Development training at Foothill College. She has 15 total years of experience working with ages 2-4 as a Teacher’s Aide, supporting instruction and providing classroom activities, supervision, and planning assistance. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys reading, horseback riding, and baking.
