Room C Teachers - 4s and Young 5s Program
Kymn
Kymn has a BA Degree in Psychology from San Jose State University and in addition to the Early Childhood Education Classes she took at San Jose she has taken classes at Cal State Northridge and at local Community Colleges. She has worked in the field of Early Childhood Development for 33 years and joined the staff at Children’s Corner in 2007.
Joyce
Joyce has a BA in Advertising and Marketing from San Jose State University and an AA in Liberal Arts with a focus on Early Childhood Development from West Valley College. She holds a Program Director Permit from the State of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Joyce joined the Children’s Corner Staff in 2008 and has worked in the field of Early Childhood Education for 12 years. She works in our 4s and Young 5s Class 5 days a week and leads our Young Explorers Class on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
Ian
Ian has a BA in Sociology from UC Santa Cruz and has taken additional Early Childhood Classes at DeAnza College. Ian has worked part time at Children’s Corner since 2001 while attending college and joined the staff full time in 2007. He works in the 4’s and Young 5s Class 5 days a week and in the Young Explorers Class on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
Jessica
Jessica has taken Early Childhood Education Classes at Mission and West Valley Colleges. She joined the Children’s Corner staff in 2009, and works full time in the 4s and Young 5s Program.
Maria
Maria has taken her Early Childhood Classes at Foothill College where she continues to take classes. She currently works 5 afternoons in our 4s and Young 5s Class. A native Spanish speaker, she teaches our Spanish class with Teacher Iris on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays afternoons after spending her mornings with the 3s and Young 4s.
Iris
Iris’ background is in Humanities, Drafting and Technical Design from the University of Costa Rica and she has taken early childhood education classes at De Anza College. She has been with Children’s Corner for 10 years. Originally from Costa Rica, Iris teaches with Maria in our Spanish Class on Monday, Wednesday, Friday afternoons in the 4s and Young 5s program. In the mornings Iris works with the 2s and young 3’s Monday through Friday.
Christina
Christina has a BA in Psychology from UC Santa Cruz and has taken her Early Childhood Education Classes at Foothill College. She holds a Site Supervisor Permit from the State of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Christina works Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons in our 4s and Young 5s Class.
