"My youngest was incredibly anxious when she first started preschool. I’m pretty sure she holds the record for the longest crying streak in the history of Children’s Corner! But through it all, she was always held, approached gently, and cared for by her teachers with the utmost commitment to the science of child development and love. We are deeply grateful to the teachers in Room 3 and Room 4 for helping her see that the world isn’t so scary, that there are exciting things to explore, and that it’s okay not to be perfect — we’re all learning together. Today, I have a confident, curious 5-year-old who isn’t afraid to try new things and had the smoothest transition to TK. This is the same child who once famously said she didn’t like new places because “the walls were different” — and now she’s thriving, letting her curiosity lead the way. She’s now a budding gymnast and aspiring young artist, and we owe so much of her growth to the love and care she received at Children’s Corner."
